Hall of Fame
• After transferring to Nazareth from Endicott Junior College, Sugimoto helped put Nazareth’s women’s tennis program into the national spotlight during her two seasons of participation
• Twice won the Rolex National Small College singles title – in 1992 and 1994 – and defeated many of the top players in the country along the way
• Captured the first singles title at the NYSWCAA Championships in 1992, leading Nazareth to a third-place finish
• Competed in the NCAA singles championships in May, 1993
• Won state doubles title in 1994
• Compiled a singles record of 54-5 over two seasons and an overall mark of 87-9 for a winning percentage of .906.
