• Among Nazareth's first standout volleyball players, Linda VerSchneider competed on the second team in 1977 and played for four seasons
• Helped Nazareth to quickly become recognized as one of the top teams in the state, leading Nazareth to the AIAW state title in 1980
• Served as team captain for all four seasons
• Named to Private College Athletic Conference all-tournament team in 1977, 1979, and 1980
• Named to the New York State Division III all-star team in 1980 when Nazareth finished
34-10-2, captured its first state title, and finished fourth in the AIAW Division III East Regional (now the NCAAs)
• Returned to serve as an assistant coach from 1985 through 1991
• Said fellow Hall of Famer and volleyball teammate Sandy Schencke: "Linda was the go-to person on the Nazareth teams she played on. The system ran around her."
