Lynchburg, VA - The Men's Track and Field team competed in day one of the
Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic at the University of Lynchburg.
In mile event seniors
Cade Eells and
Ethan Kenyon took 19th and 22nd place. Eells finished in 4:21.38 and Kenyon finished in 4:24.78.
Junior
Cameron Almy finished the men's 5000-meter invitational, clocking in 15:17.09 to take 12th place.
Junior
Jack Pomykaj competed in the javelin throw and the pole vault. In the javelin throw he took 20th place with a throw of 36.31 meters (119' 01") and in the pole vault he took 7th place with 4.05 meters (13' 3 ½")
In the long jump, junior
Adam Reifsteck took 7th place and jumped 6.47 meters (21' 2 ¾").
In the 5,000, senior
Connor Jackson finished 16:02.89 to take 8th place.
The 4x400 meter relay team,
Jack Healy,
Benjamin Lewis,
Cole Hastings and
Jaylen Savage took third place finishing 3:25.14.
The Golden Flyers return to action Saturday, April 12 to complete the second day of the
Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic.
