Will D'Agata took second place in the pole vault as the Nazareth men's track and field team competed at the Conference Challenge Cup on Saturday at the Golisano Training Center.
In his first time out this season, D'Agata jumped 4.15 meters (13' 7 ¼") in the pole vault which put him in second place, while fellow freshman
Nolan Armitage was sixth at the same height.
Senior
Ethan Kenyon ran a career-best in the 3,000 with a time of 8:56.02 to take sixth, while
Cameron Almy was 15
th (9:19.22).
Nazareth had a strong showing in the weight throw as
David Dobrowolski and
Graeden Heichberger placed fifth and sixth, respectively. Dobrowolski threw 16.23 meters (53' 3") on his first attempt and Heichberger tossed 15.64 meters (51' 3 ¾") on his fifth throw.
In the 200,
Joey Nettles clocked a 23.75, good enough for 17
th place. Heichberger was also seventh in the shot put with a heave of 13.89 meters (45' 7").
Kyle Reid was seventh in the high jump as he cleared 1.77 meters (5' 9 ¾"). Junior
Adam Reifsteck placed ninth in the triple jump at 13.06 meters (42' 10 ¼").
Cade Eells ripped off a 4:27.40 in the mile to earn 10
th place.
Aaron Lund (9.36) was 24
th in the 60-meter hurdles, while
Ryan DeShane (9.52) was 27
th, and
Jack Pomykaj (9.65) 29
th.
In the 400,
Jack Healy (52.57) was 15
th and
Benjamin Lewis (52.62) was 17
th.
Cole Hastings ran in the 800 and took 15
th place in a time of 2:01.81.
Nazareth returns to action on February 1 at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
