Biography
Sports Entertainment and Management minor... son of Scott and Lisa Lund of Rochester, NY... returning for his third track and field season, after competing regularly for the Golden Flyers in the 2023-24 seasons... at the Empire 8 Indoor Championship meet, Lund finished 3rd in the heptathlon with a score of 4129 (1st 60 hurdles, 2nd long jump, 2nd shot put, 2nd 1000, 3rd high jump, 3rd pole vault, 7th 60), 3rd in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.76 seconds, and 6th in pole vault with a height of 3.25 meters... at the AARTFC Indoor Championship meet, Lund placed 5th in the heptathlon with a PR score of 4298 (2nd 1000 PR time 2:52.78, 3rd long jump PR distance 6.46 meters, 3rd shot put, 4th 60 hurdles, 7th high jump, 7th pole vault, 10th 60)... earned PRs in pole vault and disc throw with respective scores of 3.60 meters and 33.21 meters at Geneseo in March... earned a PRs at Brockport in April in the decathlon with a score of 5821, high jump with a score of 1.78 meters, and the 1500 with a time of 4:48.32... at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championship meet, Lund placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.86 seconds, 2nd in the 400 hurdles with a score of 58.16 seconds, 9th in long jump with a distance of 6.21 meters, and 2nd in the decathlon with a score of 5524 (1st javelin throw PR distance 40.06 meters, 1st shot put, high jump, the 400, and 110 hurdles, 2nd long jump, pole vault, and the 1500, 3rd disc throw, and 4th in the 100)... at the AARTFC Outdoor Championship meet, Lund placed 6th in the decathlon with a score of 5391 (2nd in the 1500, 3rd shot put, 4th disc throw, 5th 400 PR time 52.57, 6th long jump, 7th pole vault, 8th javelin throw, 9th 110 hurdles, 12th high jump, and 14th in the 100)... Empire 8 Second-Team in the 110 meter hurdles and decathlon... Empire 8 Indoor Sportsperson of the Year... Empire 8 Third-Team Indoor in the 60 meter hurdles and the heptathlon.
2022-23: Lund excelled for the Golden Flyers as a multi-event competitor in 2023… set school records in both the indoor heptathlon (4,261) and the outdoor decathlon (5,647)… represented the Golden Flyers at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Susquehanna and finished seventh in the decathlon, thanks to top performances in the 100-meter dash (:11.89); the 400-meter dash (:52.99) and the pole vault (10 feet, 10 inches)… other top performances came during a third-place finish at the Brockport Invitational, including 4:58.46 in the 1,500 meters; 38.57 meters in the javelin; 32.71 meters in the discus and 11.01 meters in the shot put… indoor season featured a third-place heptathlon finish as Nazareth won its first E8 title… score was fueled by 7.57 seconds in the 60-meter dash; 6.28 meters in the long jump and 2:53.88 in the 1,000-meter run... represented the Golden Flyers on the E8 Presidents' List (3.75 GPA or better).
Scholastic: a graduate of Wheatland-Chili High School, Lund competed on the track and field team in hurdles and Multi (heptathlon and decathlon) events there... two-time Genesee Region all-star... two-time Section Five champion in the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles... sixth place in Division II at states in 400 hurdles... honor roll student... also a member of the basketball team and was a 1,000-point scorer.
