Brockport, NY- Nazareth's men's track and field team finished day 2 of the Brockport Golden Eagle Invite and Multi on Friday, highlighted by
Jack Pomykaj breaking his own school record in the Heptathlon with 4,528. His previous school record was 4,405 points.
Pomykaj also had two PRs in the heptathlon. He had a time of 9.12 in the 60-meter hurdles event and a result of 1.79 meters (5' 10 ½") in the high jump.
Pomykaj,
Aaron Lund and
Holden Thomas completed the rest of the four events for the heptathlon on Saturday. Pomykaj was in fifth place overall with 2,466 points on Friday and made his way to fourth place with 4,528 points.
Lund finished in 8th place with an overall score of 4,001 points. Lund finished 4th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.15. Thomas placed seventh place with a time of 9.29 in the same event.
In the men's high jump, senior
Kyle Reid took fifth place and had a result of 1.81 meters (5' 11" ¼).
Freshman
Graeden Heichberger, competed in the men's shot put and placed fifth. He threw 14.80 meters (48' 6" ¾).
Heichberger and
David Dobrowolski took fourth and fifth place in the men's weight throw with results 15.80 meters (51' 10") and 15.71 meters (51' 6" ½).
In the men's 3000-meter event,
Cameron Almy took third place with a time of 9:09.90.
Senior
Cade Eells finished the men's 800-meter event in 1:57.76 to take second place.
The Golden Flyers return to action on Friday February 14 at home for the Dlll Elite Meet.
