Nazareth College Athletics

Son of Thatcher and Christy Thomas, Moreland Hills, Ohio… returning for his third track and field season after competing frequently for the Golden Flyers in the 2023-24 seasons... at the Empire 8 Indoor Championship meet, Thomas placed 4th in the heptathlon with a PR score of 3724 (2nd in the 60 hurdles, 3rd in the 60 PR time 7.53, 5th in long jump, 5th in pole vault, 6th in the 1000 PR time 3:09.59, 6th in high jump, and 8th in shot put PR distance 7.94 meters) and 5th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.95 seconds... earned a PR in disc throw with a distance of 24.51 meters at Brockport in April... at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championship meet, Thomas placed 3rd in the decathlon with a PR score of 4721 (2nd in pole vault PR height 3.30 meters, 3rd in the 100 PR time 11.80, 3rd in long jump PR distance 5.95 meters, 3rd in the 400, 3rd in the 110 hurdles, 4th in high jump PR height of 1.59 meters, 4th in javelin throw PR distance 33.30 meters, 4th in the 1500 PR time 5:26.09, 5th in shot put, and 5th in disc throw), 5th in pole vault with a height of 3.25 meters, and 6th in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.63 seconds... Empire 8 Third-Team in the decathlon.

2022-23: Thomas competed regularly both indoors and outdoors as a hurdler in 2023… placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of :15.97 to help Nazareth claim its first ever Empire 8 Outdoor track title… also had a top time of :59.81 in the 400-meter hurdles… the indoor season included a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (9.14) as Nazareth also won the team title at the E8 Indoor Championships… represented the Golden Flyers for the fall and spring semesters on the E8 Presidents’ List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.

Scholastic: a graduate of Orange City Schools in Ohio, Thomas competed there in soccer and track and field and was a member of the marching band as a saxophonist… helped track team to Chagrin Valley Conference title in 2019 and was an honorable mention all-conference performer… earned CVC all-academic honors as well as Orange Boosters Scholarship… recipient of Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America.
