Brockport, NY - The Nazareth University Men's Track and Field team competed in their first meet of the New Year in the Brockport Invitational on Friday.
Both of the Nazareth men's 4x400 relay teams placed in the event. Relay team A, Gavin McAllister, Brennan Farr, Cameron Almy, and Joseph Cataldo racked up a third place finish for Nazareth with a time of 3:38.77. Relay team B, Ethan Kenyon, Cade Eells, Joe Britschge, and Thuan Nguyen took fourth place with a time of 3:40.11.
McAllister secured a first place finish in the men's 500 meter event with a time of 1:08.54.
In the men's 800 meter event, fourth place was taken by Kenyon with a time of 1:59.62.
Junior Adam Reifsteck secured a second place finish for Nazareth with a result of 13.72 meters in the men's triple jump.
Junior Connor Jackson finished the men's 3000 meter event in 9:30.57 to take fifth place.
Sophomore David Dobrowolski and freshman Graeden Heichberger each placed in the men's weight throw event. Dobrowolski threw 16.73 meters to come up with a second place finish while Heichberger took third place and threw 15.75 meters.
Heichberger also competed in the men's shot put event coming up with a second place finish. The freshman threw 14.45 meters for Nazareth.
The Golden Flyers return to action on Saturday, January 25th at the Golisano Training Center for Nazareth's Challenge Cup.
