Final Results
BROCKPORT, NY – Junior Caroline Coleman came from behind to win the 200-yard freestyle winning by less than a quarter of a second to lead the Nazareth University Women's Swimming and Diving team against Brockport in the final regular season dual meet of the year.
Brockport posted a win in the team scoring with a 154-88 final.
Coleman clocked a 2:04.57 as she won the race by .21 seconds for first-place points for the Golden Flyers.
Nazareth also had a first-place finish on the 1-meter diving board as senior Alexa Rizzo scored a 272.85 for the victory with scores of 7.0 and 7.5 on each of the final four dives in the competition. Rizzo added a second-place finish on the 3-meter board for Nazareth with a score of 227.18.
Coleman added a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.69.
Nazareth finished second in the 200 medley relay to start the meet with senior Alyssa Woodford, senior Ashleigh Parsons, senior Grace Cioffi and senior Julie Filipski as the relay clocked a 2:01.45.
Senior Sydney Federico had a close second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:52.88 falling by just .69 seconds. Junior Amy Barry was second in the 50 freestyle in 26.62 seconds and Filipski was second in the 200 IM with her time of 2:18.50.
Barry was second in the 100 backstroke and freshman Allison Putnam was second and Federico was third in the 500 free with times of 5:52.21 and 5:42.31 respectively.
Nazareth wraps up the regular season and will compete in the Allegheny Empire Championships beginning February 14.
