Nazareth College Athletics

Nursing major... daughter of Jim and Jodee Rizzo, Canandaigua, N.Y... returning for her third season as one of the area's top divers, Rizzo was exceptional for the Golden Flyers in 2022-23 as she finished second (to teammate Elizabeth Tripp) in both 1- and 3-meter diving at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Championship meet at Webster Aquatic Center... posted a personal-best score of 418.05 for 11 dives in the 3-meter event and scored 466.75 in the 1-meter event, less than three points behind Tripp... set a 1-meter school record for 11 dives (477.35) for a second-place finish at Ithaca's Bomber Invitational in December of 2022... finished sixth in the 1-meter competition (442.40) at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships at Ithaca and was an alternate to compete at the NCAA meet.

2021-22: after a season competing for the Golden Flyers' track and field team, Rizzo emerged as a competitive diver for the Golden Flyers in a season that was highlighted by a first-place finish (473.85) in the 1-meter competition at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Championships at Webster Aquatic Center... finished eighth in the 1-meter competition (386.10) at the NCAA Northeast/South Regional at Ithaca... recipient of team's Newcomer of the Year award.

Scholastic: a 2020 graduate of Canandaigua Academy, Rizzo competed as a diver there for four seasons... finished seventh in the 1-meter diving competition at the NYS Federation Championships in 2019... also finished second, third and third at the Section Five Class B meet in 2019, 2018 and 2017 respectively... also a member of the track and field team... competed for the Golden Flyers track team in 2021.
