Nazareth College Athletics

Mathematics major... daughter of Joe and Debbi Filipski, Orchard Park, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Filipski helped Nazareth capture its fourth straight Empire 8 Conference championship in 2023 with a strong performance at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Conference meet... finished first in three races, including the 200 IM, which resulted in a personal-best time of 2:11.67... finished second in the 200 freestyle (1:58.22) and second in the 200 breaststroke (2:27.35)... swam on winning 800 free relay (7:59.09) and 400 free relay (3:38.00) and runner-up 400 medley relay (4:02.61)... recipient of team's Most Valuable Swimmer award... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.

2021-22: Filipski helped Nazareth earn the title of Allegheny Mountain / Empire 8 Collegiate Conference Champions... proving herself as an asset to Nazareth's women's team, she placed second in the 200 freestyle with a personal best time (1:56.50)... she won the 200 breast with a season best time (2:27.06) as well... additionally, she placed 4th in the 200 IM (2:15.65)... Filipski was also a part of two winning relays... she was the third leg of the 200 free relay (25.01)... she also swam the second leg of the 400 free relay (54.41).

2020-21: Filipski was among the Golden Flyers' top first-year swimmers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season... helped Nazareth win the team title at the Rochester Invitational as she swam on the winning 400 free relay (3:34.15)... also finished second in the 200 IM (2:12.08), second in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.12) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.28)... recipient of the team's Newcomer of the Year award... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.

Scholastic: a graduate of Orchard Park High School, Filipski competed there for four seasons... served as team captain in 2019... competed in the breaststroke and IM and helped team win four Section Six Class A titles... competed for TWST club team... recipient of Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce Scholarship and TWST Scholarship.
