PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Emily Weaver finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run Saturday at St. John Fisher as the Golden Flyers resumed their women's track and field season at the Cardinal Classic.
Weaver posted a personal-best time of 19:26.60 to place fourth. She was followed to the finish line by teammates
Hayley Cronin, who was fifth in 19:35.20 and
Lilianna Hanning, who was sixth in 19:40.02.
Among the other Nazareth competitors were freshman
Lauren Bendall, who was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.91) and seventh in the pole vault (8 feet, 2 1/2 inches); junior
Elizabeth Decker, who was sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:00.63); freshman
Sydney Vanderhoof, who was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (:16.90); sophomore
Alexis Anagnostopulos, who was sixth in the 800-meter run (2:30.72); freshman Hanah Ragule, who was eighth in the long jump (16 feet, 9 1/4 inches); freshman
Alexa Rizzo, who was sixth in the 100-meter dash (:13.69); freshman
Lea Richard, who was sixth in the shot put (35 feet, 6 inches) and seventh in the hammer throw (135 feet, 4 inches); junior
Ally Criswell, who was fifth in the javelin (85 feet, 10 inches) and junior
Gabrielle Pighetti, who was fourth in the shot put (36 feet, 5 3/4 inches) and seventh in the discus (101 feet, 2 inches).
The Golden Flyers also placed second in two relays. The team of

Brenna Johnson, Rizzo and
Abbey Szumloz was second in the 4 x 100-meter relay (:51.63) and the foursome of Decker,
Claire Bargabos,
Leigha Gould and
Paige Ackley was second in the 4 x 800-meter relay (10:32.38).
