ROCHESTER, NY (nazathletics.com) - Director of Track and Field/Cross Country
James Goss is pleased to add former Division 1 standout Erica Ellis as the new Nazareth Pole Vault Coach.
A two-time all-american, Ellis began her college career in 2019 at Penn State University before transferring to Stephen F. Austin and graduating in 2023 to earn a Bachelors in Psychology. She went on to compete at the University of Kansas, earning a Master's in Health Education & Psychology of Physical Activity.
She competed in four NCAA Championships at the Division 1 level, including finishing 4
th at the 2025 Outdoor Championships and 11
th at the 2025 Indoor Championships. Her career-best vault is 4.50 meters (14' 9").
As a coach, Ellis most recently served as an assistant Track and Field coach at Honeoye Falls Lima High School. While there she led, organized, and actively participated in structured workout sessions. Additionally, was responsible for designing and delivering targeted coaching on essential pole vault techniques to enhance athlete proficiency.
A Gates-Chili High School graduate, Ellis also has experience as a pole vault coach for Next Step Vault Club in Rochester, NY.
