ROCHESTER N.Y The Nazareth Track and Field team competed in Collegeville, PA for the All-Atlantic Regional Championship Meet on Thursday and sit in third place with 23.66 points. Many great performances occurred, including Ella Impaglia's first place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase where she set the school record.
How It Happened:

Impaglia placed first overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase, breaking the school record with a time of 10:55.07, crushing the previous record time of 11:02.76. Bailey Visingard came in soon after crossing the line in 7th with a time of 11:41.90.

In the Hepthalon, Samantha Luba currently sits in 2nd place with more events to follow on Thursday. Luba currently has a total of 2831 points, only 19 behind the leading athlete. She was second in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.80 and also in the 200 (26..06).

In the Long Jump, Alaina Morley placed 6th overall with a jump of 5.55 meters (18"2.5' ft), scoring 3 points for the Golden Flyers.

In the pole vault Isabel Morse placed 2nd overall vaulting 3.83 meters (12'6' ¾" ).

Jane Beyer placed 11th overall in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 39:43.09.

Next, the Golden Flyers will compete at the Regional Championship meet in Collegeville, PA, for day 2 of the meet on Thursday.
