Nazareth College Athletics

Physical Therapy major... daughter of Skip and Coby Pighetti of Howard, Pa… returning for her fourth track and field season, Pighetti competed as a thrower during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2021 and finished fourth in the shot put (36 feet, 3 1/2 inches), fifth in the hammer throw (117 feet, 3 inches) and seventh in the discus (103 feet., 6 inches) at the Empire 8 outdoor meet... had a personal best in the hammer throw (124 feet, 10 inches) at the Redhawk Capstone meet on 5/14/21... represented the Golden Flyers at the All-Atlantic Regional meet and placed 12th in the shot put with a distance of 10.74 meters (35 feet, 3 inches)... finished third in the shot put (37 feet, 7 1/4 inches) and fifth in the weight throw (43 feet, 3 inches) at the E8 Indoor meet... played in three games as a goalkeeper for the Golden Flyers' soccer team in the fall of 2021 and helped the team capture the E8 title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament... played soccer and started all nine games in goal for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season... posted a record of 8-0-1 with 13 saves, a 0.45 goals-against average with five shutouts... named as a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star and twice was recognized as E8 Defensive Player of the Week (3/29/21 and 4/12/21)... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75  or better.

2019-20: Pighetti competed during the 2020 indoor season and finished fifth in the shot put and eighth in the weight throw at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton... had a personal-best in the weight throw with the distance of 13.22 meters (43 feet, 4 1/2 inches)... also finished 14th in the shot put at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Nazareth with a distance of 11.47 meters (37 feet, 7 3/4 inches)... named to the Empire 8 President's List for student-athletes with a 3.75 GPA or higher.

2018-19: competed for the Golden Flyers' track and field team and set school shot put records both indoor (11.72 meters / 38 feet, 5 1/2 inches) and outdoor (11.45 meters / 37 feet, 6 3/4 inches)... other top performances include 32.73 meters (107 feet, 4 inches) in the discus, 26.29 meters (86 feet, 3 inches) in the hammer throw and 23.39 meters (76 feet, 9 inches) in the javelin... named to the Empire 8 President's List for student-athletes with a 3.75 GPA or higher.

Scholastic: a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School, Pighetti was a four-year letter winner as a goalie there... a two-time second-team Mountain League all-star... helped team to Mountain League title in 2014... competed as a thrower for the track and field teams and was a Mountain League champion in the shot put and runner-up in the discus... recipient of numerous awards and scholarships and was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society... recipient of President's Award for Academic Excellence and Bellefonte Athletic Scholarship.
