ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's and women's track and field teams resumed their respective seasons at the University of Rochester's Spring Classic Saturday at Fauver Stadium.
Junior
Maria Staehr was among the top performers for the Golden Flyers as she placed seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a personal-best time of 5:02.09.
Claire Bargabos (5:13.33),
Lauren Guilfoil and
Eileen Shea also competed in the same race.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Dobbertin placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:27.24. Other notables included sophomore

Sarah Smith, seventh and eighth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:16.12 and 1:17.92 respectively); freshman
Grace Blankenberg, seventh in the hammer throw (personal best of 38.51 meters or 126 feet, 4 inches) and fifth in the shot put (9.68 meters or 31 feet, 9 1/4 inches); freshman
Ally Criswell, eighth in the hammer throw (37.21 meters or 122 feet, 1 inch), fourth in the discus (32.84 meters or 107 feet, 9 inches) and 10th in the shot put (8.58 meters or 28 feet, 1 3/4 inches); and freshman Gabrielle Pighetti, fifth in the discus (30.93 meters or 101 feet, 5 inches) and sixth in the javelin (23.39 meters or 76 feet, 9 inches).
In the men's invitational, sophomore
Michael Brown finished 27th in the 1,500-meter run (4:22.20) and freshman
Matthew Johnson was 13th in the 400-meter dash (:53.37) and 11th in the long jump (18 feet, 7 3/4 inches). Senior
Jack Wessel was 14th in the 800-meter run (2:07.98).
