Nursing major... daughter of Daniel and Lane Blankenberg, Rushville, N.Y... returning for her second track and field season as a thrower, Blankenberg finished seventh in the weight throw at the Empire 8 Indoor meet with a distance of 13.66 meters (44 feet, 9 3/4 inches)... top performances included 9.85 meters (32 feet, 3 3/4 inches) in the shot put, 38.51 meters (126 feet, 4 inches) in the hammer throw and 29.71 meters (97 feet, 6 inches) in the discus.
Scholastic: a graduate of Marcus Whitman, Blankenberg competed in soccer, basketball and track and field... earned honorable mention all-league honors in the discus two times... four-time recipient of Outstanding Effort Award... won Dan Harris Award... member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
