Oliver Janzen scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in the opening minutes of the second and third period, respectively, to lead Nazareth to a 4-2 victory over host Manhattanville in an ECAC West hockey game on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore

After the victory, Nazareth improves to 11-7-4 overall and 7-2-3 in ECAC West contests. With their 17 points, the Golden Flyers close the weekend in second place in the conference standings. Following the loss, the Valiants drop to 7-8-2 overall and 2-8-2 in conference games.
With three regular season conference games to play, Hobart stands in first with 18 points. The Statesmen defeated Utica 4-2 on Saturday. Neumann is third with 13 points after falling to Elmira 6-5 on Saturday. The top two teams earn a first-round bye in the ECAC West Tournament February 25th-March 3rd. The Golden Flyers play critical conference games at Neumann February 13th and 14th before closing the regular season with an ECAC West game against Utica Feb. 20 at the Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex.
Blasko scored the first goal of Saturday's game 5:05 into the first period. Janzen and sophomore
Dominik Gabaj had the assists. It was Blasko's fourth goal of the season. Less than a minute after Blasko's score, Paul Allan Bamberg tied the game with a short-handed goal. Eric McClure and Kevin Struempfler had the assists. McClure also assisted on Tanner Hicks' goal, which Hicks scored with 3:15 to play in the period.
Janzen tied the game 79 seconds into the second. Linemates Blasko and Gabaj had the assists. Saturday's game was the third consecutive multiple-point game for Blasko, and he has recorded at least one point in the last five Golden Flyers' games. He leads the team with 26 points on four goals and 22 assists.
Outside of Janzen's early goal, the remainder of the second was scoreless. Janzen reclaimed Nazareth's lead with his team-leading 10th goal of the season 4:38 into the third. Tamasy added an insurance goal with 1:37 left in regulation. Tamasy's goal was his sixth of the season, and it was assisted by freshman
John Power.
Similar to Friday's game, the Valiants finished with the advantage in faceoff wins. Manhattanville recorded a 45-33 advantage on Saturday. Tamasy won a team-high 12 draws for the Golden Flyers.
The Valiants tallied a 31-26 advantage in shots on goal. Junior
Ed Zdolshek earned the victory with a game-high 29 saves. Brian Fleming had 22 saves in the loss.
