Nazareth College Athletics

Finance major… born 12/27/90… son of Steve and Mabel Tamasy, Brainerd, Minn… assistant captain... returning for his third season with the Golden Flyers, Tamasy played in 16 games in 2013-14 and had three goals and four assists... missed the final eight games after suffering a leg injury against Cortland on 1/18/14... all three goals came in Nazareth victories -- vs. Brockport on 11/5/13, vs. Stonehill on 1/11/14 and vs. Cortland on 1/18/14.

2012-13: appeared in all 26 games and finished tied for second on the team in scoring with 20 points on six goals and 14 assists… had five points, including a school-record four assists in Nazareth’s 7-2 win over Brockport on 10/23/12… assisted on Reed Smith’s game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime win over Geneseo in the Golden Flyers’ first-ever game on 10/18/12… also had three points on two goals and one assist in Nazareth’s lone ECAC West victory, a 6-4 triumph over Manhattanville on 1/25/13… named ECAC West Player of the Week for 1/27/13.

Before Nazareth: a 2009 graduate of East High in Duluth, Minn., Tamasy played hockey and baseball there… spent 2011-12 season at Williston Community College in North Dakota and earned second-team junior college All-American honors after helping team reach the national title game… amassed 42 points on 13 goals, 29 assists… also played for the Duluth Clydesdales of the Superior International Junior Hockey League… helped high school team to Section 7AA title in 2009.
