Business Management major... born 12/18/92... son of Drahoslav and Zuzana Gabaj, Bratislava, Slovakia... returning for his third season, Gabaj was the Golden Flyers' leading scorer in 2015-16 as he played in all 26 games and delivered 20 points on six goals and a team-high 14 assists... three of his goals came on the power play... had three points on one goal and two assists in a 5-1 win at Manhattanville on 1/20/15... had one goal and one assist in a 2-2 tie at Buffalo State on 10/31/15 and in a 4-2 win at Neumann on 11/21/15... had two assists each at Geneseo on 12/11/15 and vs. Colby on 1/1/16... also scored against Babson on 11/28/15, against Adrian on 12/12/15 and against Manhattanville on 1/30/16... named ECAC West Player of the Week for 11/23/15... named to the ECAC West All-Academic team (3.0 GPA or higher).
2014-15: Gabaj was a dynamic player in 2014-15 as he appeared in 25 games and finished second on the team in scoring with 24 points on 10 goals and 14 assists... an honorable mention selection to the ECAC West all-star team... had two goals in a 5-4 win at Utica on 11/8/14... had three points on one goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over Manhattanville on 11/21/14... had a career-best three assists in a 4-2 win over Manhattanville on 2/7/15... named ECAC West Player of the Week for 11/24/14.
Before Nazareth: a transfer to Nazareth from Monroe Community College, Gabaj was a standout for the Tribunes in 2013-14 as he led the nation in scoring with 88 points on 38 goals and 50 assists... earned first-team All-American honors and also was named Region III Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year... named MCC male Athlete of the Year for 2014... competed in 2012-13 for the Idaho Junior Steelheads of the Western States Hockey League and led the league in scoring with 102 points on 41 goals and 61 assists.
