Laura Persico led the Golden Flyers with a match-high 18 kills against Springfield in Nazareth's second match at the Nazareth Invitational for women's volleyball. Nazareth defeated Springfield in four sets 25-22, 14-25, 27-25, 25-23. Junior
Katelynn Reed finished with 13 kills and six blocks.
With its second victory in the Tournament, the Golden Flyers improve their record to 15-6. Springfield's record fell to 14-4 following the loss.

Audrey Zimmerman each added seven kills while Vanderstyne also tallied nine digs for Nazareth. Additionally, junior
Mallorie Clary recorded a match-high 22 digs while junior
Kate Zwickl had 42 assists and eight digs.
In Nazareth's match against Brockport, Reed had 10 kills and four blocks. The Golden Flyers defeated Brockport in three sets 27-25, 25-18, 25-13.
The Golden Flyers improved to 14-6 overall and host Springfield Friday at 8 p.m. Brockport is 8-14.
Reed had just two hitting errors in 21 attempts for a .381 percentage. Vanderstyne added nine kills in 15 attempts for a .600 hitting percentage plus four service aces and Persico had nine kills with two errors in 16 attempts for a .438 hitting percentage.
Zwickl amassed 34 assists and Clary added 10 digs.
The Golden Flyers continue the Nazareth Invitational Saturday at 11 a.m. against RIT and at 3 p.m. against Ithaca.
