Pittsford, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) – Nazareth's men's golf team played out their final event of the 2025-2026 season at the Brook-Lea Country Club on Monday. The Golden Flyers were the hosts of the event and deployed two teams. They ended their season on a high note with a win for Team A and a fourth-place finish for Team B at the Nazareth University Spring Invitational. Nazareth's A team recorded a team score of +20, while Team B scored a +57.
How It Happened
- Senior Charlie Calcagni (Team A) took first place overall in his final event, putting on an impressive performance that saw him card a 76 (+4). He shot two birdies and put together a solid 18 holes to claim a memorable title on Monday.
- Senior Vincent Falgiatano (Team A) achieved a third-place finish in his last round of collegiate golf. He shot a 77 (+5), sinking birdies on holes 6 and 14, and he exited the front nine just one stroke over par.
- Freshman Jaxstin Bingham (Team A) matched Falgiatano's score of 77 (+5) to finish the event tied for third. He closed out his freshman season with 2 birdies and 10 pars on the round, putting together a strong 18 holes.
- Junior Lincoln Crosby (Team A) recorded a score of 78 (+6) on Monday, highlighted by pars on 7 and 13 to go along with 10 pars. His performance earned him a fifth place finish to close out the season.
- Also finding himself in fifth place by the event's end was freshman Joshua Anstett (Team A), who put together a 78 (+6) powered by birdies on holes 2 and 11, and he rounded out Team A for Nazareth.
- Freshman Jack Fesetch (Team B) led Nazareth's second team competing at the Invitational with a score of 81 (+9). His performance landed him in 12th place overall and included a birdie on the final hole.
- Sophomore Jake Elinich placed 16th overall, carding an 85 (+13). His round saw 7 pars fall, and made him Team B's second lowest scorer.
- Sophomore Justin Krause shot an 88 (+16) on the day, landing in 20th place overall in the final event of the season.
- Sophomore Benjamin Thompson rounded out Team B for the Golden Flyers. He placed 27th overall with a score of 91 (+19) that was powered by a pair of pars, one on each side.
- Ellis Griffin (IND), Vance Hickok (IND), and Lucas Kielon (IND) all competed as well for Nazareth. They recorded respective scores of 86 (+14, 17th place), 89 (+17, 21st place) and 89 (+17, 21st place). They combined for 22 pars and put on strong performances to finish the season.
What's Next
The Golden Flyers home-event win marks their final outing of the season. They will head into the off-season looking to build on an impressive campaign that saw them record a plethora of top-3 finishes, including invitational event wins at St. John Fisher and Keuka in the Spring. Nazareth claimed a 4th place finish in conference play, and logged many impressive individual performances along the way.
