WILLIAMSBURG, VA - Nazareth's Women's Golf team leaves The Ruckus Tournament with a 5th-place finish. They scored a team total of 779 (+203) on the weekend, powered by a much-improved day-two performance where they recorded a 380 (+92). The Drew University Rangers took first place with a collective weekend score of 657 (+81).
How It Happened
- Bethany Wineburg placed 8th overall on the individual leaderboard with a two-day score of 173 (+29). She recorded an 88 (+16) on Sunday, highlighted by a back nine where she came in just 4 over par with a score of 40.
- Taking 20th position was Kara Kopyt, who shot a 95 (+23) on day two to finish with a total score of +47. She carded 4 pars, including 3 on the back nine to close out a good individual weekend.
- Scoring 14 strokes better on day two than on opening day was Grace Colangelo, who turned in a 98 (+16) on Sunday highlighted by a birdie on hole two and 4 pars on the day. Her performance was good for 24th position overall at +66.
- Abigail Denz finished just one spot behind Colangelo, recording a weekend score of +67 to take 25th place. She also saw a substantial day-two improvement, carding a 99 with 2 pars.
- 28th place overall went to Sabrina Schultz, who finished with a score of +76. Her Sunday round saw her score a 114 (+42), helped by a par on whole 14.
