Penn Yan, N.Y. – Nazareth's women's golf team competed at Lakeside Country Club and took home the victory by 20 strokes, scoring a team total of 354 (+66). Utica were the runners-up with a total score of 374 (+86), followed by William Smith and Keuka with scores of 406 (+118) and 452 (+164) respectively.
How It Happened:
- Sophomore Bethany Wineburg carded an 80 (+8) on the day to claim first place on the individual leaderboard. She finished both sides strong, shooting four consecutive pars to end the front nine, and two in a row to cap off the back side.
- Freshman Lainie Liberatore was Nazareth's second lowest scorer, coming in fifth place overall and turning in a score of 88 (+16). She shot three pars on the round and carded 44s on both the front and back nines for a strong performance from start to finish.
- Freshman Breanna Bovo was third amongst Golden Flyer and sixth overall, shooting a 90 (+18) through 18 holes. Her performance was powered by a strong back nine score of 42, where she took six less shots than on the front side.
- Senior Grace Colangelo carded a 96 (+24) to help lift the Golden Flyers to the victory. She shot six pars during her round, bested by only three competitors in the entire field.
- Junior Sabrina Schultz rounded out the Golden Flyers golfers today, shooting a 114 (+42) on the day and landing in 20th place on the overall leaderboard.

The Golden Flyers compete next on Sunday, October 5th at their own Nazareth Fall Invite which has been cancelled each of the last two seasons. The last time the event took place, Nazareth's women's team took first place in 2022.
