WEBSTER, NY – Saturday evening was the last round of finals in the Empire 8 swimming and diving championships. Nazareth men's team had five individuals race in the finals on Saturday as well as two relay teams. At the conclusion of the meet, Nazareth placed fifth overall with the rankings and scores as follows:

Alfred – 605

The first event of the day was the 1650-yard individual freestyle where
Gianluca Antonini represented the Golden Flyers with a 7
th place finish and a person best time of 17:38.80.
Next up was
Ryan Hough in the 100-yard free with a 3
rd place finish on a time of 45.56.
In the 200-yard backstroke,
Cameron Matousek was Nazareth's only finalist. He finished in 13
th place with a time of 2:29.47.
Nazareth took 12
th and 13
th in the 200-yard breaststroke,
David Martin with a time of 2:20.20 and
Sam Romanosky with a time of 2:21.73.
In the final event of the day, the team of Hough,
Lincoln Garwood,
Adam DelGrand, and
William Danaher took 5
th in the 400-yard relay with a time of 3:13.92. In 13
th place was the team of
Jackson Gerbes, Antonini, Romanosky, and
Alexander Baxter with a time of 3:24.33.
