Nazareth College Athletics

Psychology and Business Leadership minor... son of David and Lisa Hough, Canandaigua, N.Y... returning for his fifth season, Hough had yet another successful season in 2023-24... Hough was part of four relays that placed favorably in the Allegheny / Empire 8 2024 Championship meet, taking 1st in the 200 yard free relay (1:25.71), second in the 400 and 800 yard free relays (3:11.58 and 7:04.38), and third in the 400 yard medley relay (3:37.26)... Hough was also a three-time individual champion, sweeping the freestyle sprints with all personal best times of 20.71 in the 50, 45.36 in the 100, and 1:42.65 in the 200... was named to College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District team in the at-large category.

2022-23: Hough excelled for the Golden Flyers in 2022-23, particularly as a sprint freestyler as he finished second in the 50 free at the Allegheny/Empire Coference meet at Webster Aquatics Center with a personal-best time of :20.96... also had personal-bests in the 100- (:46.04) and 200 freestyles (1:44.33), finishing fourth in both races... helped Nazareth to third place in the 800 free relay (7:06.09) and fourth place in the 200 free relay (1:26.57); the 400 medley relay (3:35.07) and the 400 free relay (3:11.60)... named team MVP... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.

2021-22: Hough was an Empire 8 Champion in the 100 free and two relays for the Golden Flyers ... won the 100 free in 46.21 as he shaved nearly two seconds off his personal-best time ... also helped Nazareth to Empire 8 titles in the 200 and 800 free relays ... finished second in the 200 free, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay ... was third in the 50 free.

2020-21: Hough was among the Golden Flyers' top first-year swimmers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season as he was named the team's Newcomer of the Year... was a member of the 200 free relay team (1:26.19) that finished first at the Rochester Invitational... also second in both the 400 medley relay (3:32.78) and the 400 free relay (3:11.69)... finished fourth in the 50 freestyle (:22.17), fourth in the 100 freestyle (:48.13) and sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:47.25).

Scholastic: a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, Hough was a member of the soccer, swimming and track teams there... competed as a sprint freestyler for four seasons and helped Braves to Section Five Class B titles in 2018 and 2019 and a runner-up finish in Class A in 2020... served as team captain in 2020 and was a three-time Monroe County League all-star, 12-time sectional finalist and two-time state meet qualifier... placed third in 100 freestyle (:48.37) at sectional Class A meet... competed for Canandaigua YMCA club team and qualified for national meet in 2020... member of National Honor Society and recipient of several scholarship awards, including the Harvey Anderson Scholarship, the Rotary Four-way Test Scholarship and Principal's Achievement Award.
