Rochester, NY - The Nazareth men's track and field team completed the final day of the Dlll Elite Meet at the Golisano Training Center on Saturday with freshman
Graeden Heichberger, setting the school record in the shot put. In addition, seniors
Cade Eells and
Ethan Kenyon all had PRs.
To finish Heichberger's impressive weekend at the Dlll Elite Meet he added another PR in the men's shot put with 15.34 meters (50' 4") meters to take second place. The previous record was 15.26 meters (50'.75") by Brandon Vuolo in 2016. The freshman also had a PR in the weight throw on Friday of the Dlll Elite Meet as well.
Eells and Kenyon also finished the weekend with more PRs. The two were a part of the distance medley relay team who broke the school record last night, February 14, with a first place finish of 10:23.45. Eells and Kenyon competed in the men's mile and placed 3rd and 5th place respectively. Eells had a PR time of 4:18.71 and Kenyon also securing a PR with a time of 4:19.10. Those two times are the second and third fastest in school history.
In the men's 400-meter event junior
Michael Puglisi placed 7th place with 50.47 as his time.
Sophomore
Jack Healy competed in the men's 400-meter event and finished in 51.80 to take an 11th place finish.
Junior
Adam Reifsteck jumped 13.40 meters (43' 11" ¾) in the men's triple jump to secure 6th place.
The Golden Flyers return to action on Friday, February 21 for the Conference Tune-Up at the Golisano Training Center.
