Pittsford, N.Y. – The women's golf team closed out the Nazareth Fall Invite in second place, staying put after day one. They carded a two-day score of 734 (+158), with day two resulting in a team score of 369 (+81). St. John Fisher won the Invite with a 682 (+106), and Keuka did not compete on the second day of action after shooting a 442 (+154) on day one.

Sophomore Bethany Wineburg was Nazareth's top finisher, taking third place overall with a total score of 166 (+22). She carded an 83 (+11) for the second straight day, shooting two birdies on Monday's round.

Freshman Lainie Liberatore took seventh place on the individual leaderboard, coming in second among Golden Flyers. She scored a combined 180 (+36) through two days, with a 91 (+19) on Monday, sinking three pars on both the front and back nines.

Third among Golden Flyers was freshman Abigail Denz (193, +49), who took 10th overall and carded a 99 (+27) on day two. She shot two pars on the back nine.

Senior Kara Kopyt (102, +52) placed one spot below Denz on the individual leaderboard, taking 11th overall and fourth on her team. Her day-two round was highlighted by four pars, aiding her to a 96 (+24) through 18 holes.

Senior Grace Colangelo rounded out Nazareth's five-golfer team, shooting a 203 (+59) through 36 holes and a 104 (+32) on the day.

The women's golf team will compete next at the Empire 8 Fall Championship for their last event of the season. They will take to the tee box on October 12th and 13th at Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY.
