Camillus, N.Y. – The Nazareth women's golf team closed out their Fall season on Tuesday, finishing third in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Fall Invitational with a team score of 390 (+102). St. John Fisher and SUNY Geneseo tied for first.
How It Happened
- Sophomore Bethany Wineburg led Nazareth in the event, with a team-low score of 89 (+17). She opened her back nine with five consecutive pars and finished fourth overall on the individual leaderboard
- Freshman Lainie Liberatore carded a 97 (+25), good for second among Golden Flyers and eighth overall. Her round saw pars on holes 3, 8 and 10
- Senior Kara Kopyt took 13th overall and was third on her team with a score of 100 (+28). She opened her round with pars on three of the first four holes
- Taking 16th place overall and fourth among Nazareth golfers was senior Grace Colangelo. She turned in a 104 (+32) on the day, sinking a par on hole 13
- Rounding out the Golden Flyers was junior Sabrina Schultz, who scored a 119 (+47) to take 20th at the event. She carded a birdie on hole 15
What's Next
Nazareth will look to get back on the golf course in the Spring to continue their strong performance from this Fall season.
