ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's swimming and diving squad dropped a 131-88 dual meet to Brockport on Saturday for the Golden Flyers Senior Day. Prior to the meet,
William Danaher,
Cameron Matousek, and
Adam DelGrand were all honored.
Nazareth capped its meet with a win in the 200-meter freestyle relay as the quartet of
Ryan Hough, Danaher,
Sam Romanosky, and DelGrand clocked a 1:41.39, nearly two seconds ahead of Brockport.
Gianluca Antonini was able to come away with the victory in the 800-meter free, clocking a time of 9:56.95. He later finished second in the 400-meter freestyle 4:42.23, while
Jackson Gerbes was close behind in 4:42.27 for third.
Hough obliterated the field in the 200-meter free, clocking a time of 1:57.01, while second place came in at 2:05.13. He also smashed the field in the 100-meter freestyle in 53.48.
Lincoln Garwood was third in that same event (59.96).
Danaher racked up a second place finish in the 50-meter freestyle (26.19). Classmate DelGrand took home the top spot in the 200-meter IM (2:30.52). DelGrand was second in the 100-meter butterfly (1:02.02) and Danaher third (1:04.67).
Nazareth travels to Alfred on Friday at 12 p.m.
