ROCHESTER, NY – Junior
Isabel Morse took the top spot in the pole vault to highlight Saturday's Conference Challenge Cup, hosted at the Golisano Training Center.
Nazareth took first and fourth in the pole vault, with Morse clearing 3.60 meters (11' 9 ¾") and
Kiara Tornusciolo vaulting 3.45 meters (11' 3 ¾"). Morse has hit that same mark at all three meets this season.
Kelsey Fahy clocked a career-best 5:30.31 in the mile to take 10
th place.
Morgan Pospiech (5:46.48) was 17
thand
Kennedy Doran (5:48.82) was 19
th.
Lea Richard took second place in the weight throw with her toss of 16.77 meters (55' ¼").
Alaina Morley kept her hot streak up in the 60-meters, earning fifth place in a regional qualifying time of 7.99. All three races for her this season have been under 8 seconds.
The quartet of Morley,
Alexis Lasher,
Jasmine Kendrick, and
Katie Jacques, took fourth out of eight teams in the 4 x 200 (1:48.42). Lasher also teamed up with
Lauren Bendall,
Samantha Luba and
Jordan Wagner to take fifth out of 17 teams in the 4 x 400, as the ran 4:25.45.
Ella Impaglia put together a solid performance in the 3,000, running to a seventh place finish in a time of 10:49.07.
Senior
Katie Jacques was 12
th place in the long jump with a career-best mark of 4.99 meters (16' 4 ½"), while
Jordan Wagner leaped 4.96 meters (16 3 ¼") fore 14
th, and
Peytyn Geer was 16th place after a jump of 4.95 meters (16' 3"). Geer was seventh in the triple jump at 10.42 meters (34' 2 ¼").
Luba just missed out on making the 60-meter hurdles final after clocking a 9.66 for ninth.
Caitlyn Smithers finished 27
th of 59 runners in the 200 (28.25).
Ava Baker was the top finisher for Nazareth in the 800, crossing the finish line in 2:32.47 for 20
th place.
Nazareth returns to action on February 1 at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
