GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Seventh-ranked Nazareth extended its winning streak to eight matches in men's volleyball Sunday as the Golden Flyers secured a five-set victory over Lakeland College in the second day of the Thiel Invitational. Scores were 16-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-27, 15-10.

The Golden Flyers were scheduled to play Penn State Altoona at 2:30 p.m., but that match was canceled due to inclement weather in Pennsylvania. That leaves the Golden Flyers with a perfect 8-0 record for the 2015 season. Nazareth hosts the annual Golden Flyer Tournament next weekend. Nazareth plays Hilbert and UC Santa Cruz Friday and Ramapo and Medaille on Saturday.

Against a feisty Lakeland team from Sheboygan, Wis., Nazareth had to rally from a first-set setback to win in five. Nazareth dominated sets two and three before losing a close fourth set. Junior Tim Zyburt was named to the all-tournament team for Nazareth after delivering a team-best 15 kills with five digs and three blocks. Senior Luke Lawatsch added 12 kills and six blocks and freshman setter Jake Kemp amassed 45 assists to go with five digs.
