Nazareth College Athletics

Finance major... born 11/5/93... son of Bob and Maureen Zyburt, Wheaton, Ill... returning for his fourth season, Zyburt continued to be spectacular for Nazareth in 2015 by earning first-team All-American Honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association …. played in 34 matches for a total of 114 sets... led Nazareth with 395 kills (3.46 per set), the third most kills in a single season in program history … also collected 74 blocks, 155 digs, 29 assists, and 20 service aces … amassed double digit kills in 21 matches including a career-high 22 against Santa Cruz on 4/24/15 … compiled a .358 attack percentage throughout the year … named the UVC Player of the Week on 2/2/15 and 3/30/15 … first-team United Volleyball Conference all-star selection.

2014: played in all 25 of the Golden Flyers’ matches and a team-high 89 sets… earned first-team United Volleyball Conference accolades after amassing a team-high 290 kills, 114 digs, 61 total blocks, 19 service aces and 19 assists…had double digit kills in 18 matches and he tied his season-high with 19 against Juniata (2/1/14)… also had 18 kills against Elmira (2/19/14)… Zyburt had a career-high 13 digs and seven total blocks against Thiel (3/15/14)... named to the all-tournament team for Golden Flyer Invitational.

2013: Zyburt was spectacular for the Golden Flyers as he earned second-team All-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association… played in all 38 of the Golden Flyers’ matches and 112 sets overall and led the team with 330 kills (2.95 per set) to go with an efficient .324 hitting percentage… also had 19 service aces, 133 digs and 66 blocks… reached double digits in kills 15 times with a career high of 19 in a five-set triumph over Rivier on 3/22/13… hit .462 (15-3-26) and .458 (13-2-24) respectively in three-set sweeps of UC Santa Cruz and Rivier in the NCAA Tournament  on 4/26 and 4/27… named MVP of Nazareth’s Purple & Gold Tournament and selected as a second-team United Volleyball Conference all-star… twice honored as UVC Rookie of the Week (for 2/11/13 and 2/25/13).
 
Scholastic: a graduate of Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Illinois, Zyburt excelled there in football, basketball and volleyball... earned second-team All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association in 2012... earned all-conference honors in basketball and volleyball and was named to the DuPage Valley Conference all-academic team for both sports... helped volleyball team to state title in 2012 as well as regional titles in '10, '11 and '12.
