ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Three Nazareth volleyball players have been selection to the New York Region all-star team through voting conducted by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Mallorie Clary, junior middle blocker
Katelynn Reed and junior setter
Kate Zwickl each earned all-region recognition following the Golden Flyers' 2008 season in which they finished with an overall record of 29-10.
Clary, of Baltimore, Md. and a graduate of Catonsville High School, was the Golden Flyers' primary defensive specialist in 2008 as she amassed a team-high 626 digs (4.71 per set). She also was second on the team with 178 assists.
Reed, of Horseheads, N.Y. and a graduate of Horseheads High School, was second on the team with 280 kills and ranked third nationally in hitting percentage at .410. She also led the team in service aces (59) and total blocks (78).
Zwickl, of Chester, N.Y. and a graduate of Warwick High School, was selected for the second year in a row. She ranked among the Division III leaders in assists with 1,272 (10.60 per set) while also contributing 49 service aces and 185 digs.
