Lebanon, PA. (nazathletics.com) – Nazareth's men's golf team teed off for the fourth and final round of the Empire 8 Conference Championships on Monday at Lebanon Country Club. They entered the final 18 holes in 3rd place overall, and they managed to hold onto that spot from start to finish. The Golden Flyers turned in a round-4 score of +35, the third lowest in the field on Monday. Their combined score through 72 total holes was +127. Nazareth managed to hold off Utica (+136), SUNY Oswego (+140) and SUNY Canton (+140), who were all making runs for the podium in the late stages of the tournament. However, the Golden Flyers fell just short of passing second-place Russell Sage (+124) who ended the conference championship tournament just 3 strokes better.
 
How It Happened

• Junior Lincoln Crosby shot his best round of the championships on the final day, carding a 76 (+4) to thrust himself back up in the overall individual ranks. He ended the tournament with a total score of +27, earning him a 4th place finish. Crosby's day was highlighted by consecutive birdies on holes 6 and 7, with another one coming on hole 13. He added 8 pars as well and led his team to a podium finish.
• Senior Vincent Falgiatano was Nazareth's second highest ranking golfer by the end of the Empire 8 Championships, landing in a tie for 13th place overall with a 4-round score of +36. He shot an 83 (+11) on Monday, powered by a strong front nine that saw him record 2 birdies and 3 pars.
• Freshman Jack Fesetch happened to be the golfer with whom Falgiatano tied for 13th place. Fesetch logged a total combined score of +36, helped along by an 18-hole score of 82 (+10) on Monday. He shot a 41 on both sides of the course, highlighted by a pair of birdies on 14 and 15 plus 7 pars on the day.
• Freshman Jaxstin Bingham finished his first appearance at the Empire 8 Championships in 15th place overall. He gathered a total score of +37 through 72 holes, just one stroke behind his teammates in Falgiatano and Fesetch. Bingham's last day at the event saw him shoot an 82 (+10), boosted by a birdie on 16 and 8 pars throughout.
• Senior Charlie Calcagni came in 18th place on the individual rankings through 4 days of conference championship golf. He ended up with a total score of +39 and carded an 85 (+13) on the final day. His last round included a birdie on the second hole and 6 pars on the day.
• Finishing in 26th overall was freshman Joshua Anstett, who managed a total score of +49. His final day saw a replica of round 3, scoring an 87 (+15) powered by a birdie on 7 with a handful of pars in addition.

 
What's Next
The Golden Flyers' conference season comes to an end with the conclusion of the Empire 8 Conference Championships, but their season goes on. Nazareth will visit Oswego Country Club on April 25th and 26th to take part in the Oswego Spring Invitational, as they begin to wind down the 2025-2026 campaign.
