Men’s Golf Wins St. John Fisher Invitational

Rochester, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) – Nazareth's men's golf team competed in their second event of the week after dominating the Keuka Invitational just three days prior to the commencement of the St. John Fisher Invitational. The two-day event kicked off on Sunday, April 12th at Cobblestone Country Club, and came to a close Monday evening. The Golden Flyers carried their momentum into this contest, staying hot and picking up another event win. Nazareth took first place overall and placed all five of their team-play golfers inside the top 12. The Golden Flyers finished the event an impressive +52, mounting a tight day two comeback over the hosting Cardinals, who ended the event just 3 strokes behind Nazareth after leading through round 1.

How It Happened
  • Junior Lincoln Crosby was Nazareth's top finisher, coming in 2nd place overall with a combined two-day score of 153 (+9). He capped off a seven-hole streak of pars with an eagle on the 18th hole, highlighting his day-two score of 77 (+5). After shooting a 42 on the front nine, Crosby went on a tear and shot one-under (35) through the back side.

He came in 10th overall with a total score of 161 (+17), aided by a Monday round that saw him record an 85 (+15). He sank a birdie on hole 6 that was a part of a five-hole bogeyless streak on the first nine, and he added five more pars on the back side of the course.
