SYRACUSE, NY (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Women's Golf sophomore Bethany Wineburg has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.
 
The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, March 25, for events held March 16-22
 
Wineburg placed eighth overall on the individual leader board at the Ruckus Tournament host by Williamsburg National Golf Course on March 21-22 in Williamsburg, VA.
 
An Empire 8 Player of the Week selection this fall, Wineburg carded a two-day score of 173 (+29). She recorded an 88 (+16) on Sunday, highlighted by a back nine where she fired a four-over-par 40.

Nazareth completed the Ruckus Tournament with a fifth-place finish, registering a team score of 779 (+203) over the weekend. The Golden Flyers registered a much-improved Day 2 performance by recording a 380 (+92) team score.
