All-Conference Teams
ROCHESTER, NY – On Friday, the Empire 8 announced its All-Conference selections for the 2025 women's golf season.
Bethany Wineburg and
Lainie Liberatore earned spots for the Golden Flyers, while senior
Kara Kopyt was honored as the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders representative.
Wineburg earned First Team honors following an impressive fall season. At the Empire 8 Championships, she secured a 4th-place finish, highlighted by a tournament-best round of 81 on day two. She had several strong performances throughout the season, including a victory at the Keuka Invite and a 3rd-place showing at the Nazareth Fall Invite. This marks Wineburg's first All-Conference selection of her career.
Liberatore was a second team selection for the Golden Flyers after an excellent beginning to her freshman campaign. Her 6th-place finish at the Empire 8 Championships stood out as a key highlight of her season. Liberatore also posted an 88 at the Keuka Invite, which was good for 5
th place. She capped her debut year by finishing in the top 10 at every tournament she competed in.
Kopyt is Nazareth's Representative on the Tomorrow's Leaders Team. One player from each team was named to represent their team on the 2025 Empire 8 Women's Golf Tomorrow's Leaders Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as a leader.
