Graeden Heichberger set the school record in the shot put on Thursday at the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Meet at Williams College with a throw of 15.37 meters (50' 5 ¼") to take 8
th place. As a team, the men finished 27
th with 10 points.
Hiechberger was also 8
th in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.69 meters (176' 1"), while sophomore
David Dobrowolski was ninth at 53.43 meters (175' 3"). That mark for Dobrowolski was a personal best.
Unfortunately, thunderstorm delays led to junior
Jack Pomykaj not finishing the decathlon. Heading into the day he was in sixth place, and he started out with a win in the 110 hurdles, tying a personal best time of 15.52. He finished third in the pole vault at 4.25 meters (13' 11 ¼") and was fifth in the javelin throw at 38.60 meters (126' 8").
Adam Reifsteck was able to take 12
th place in the triple jump at 13.85 meters (45' 5 ¼").
Michael Puglisi was 30
th in the 400-meter run (49.92).
Gavin McAllister was 25
th in the 800, coming in at 1:56.87.
