HILTON, NY (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Track & Field's
Graeden Heichberger, Ella Imapaglia and
Samantha Luba earned Empire 8 weekly honors after record-breaking performances at the AARTFC All-Atlantic Regional Championships last weekend, the conference announced Monday morning.
Sophomore
Graeden Heichberger earned his third Field Athlete of the Week honor of the season, sharing this week's nod with Fisher's Brandon Kaplan. Heichberger took home the shot put title at regional championships, breaking his own school record with a throw of 17.52 meters (57'5.¾") for 12th best in the nation.
Senior
Ella Impaglia recorded her first Track Athlete of the Week honor of the year after winning the 3000m steeplechase at the regional championships, smashing the program record with a time of 10:55.07.
Senior
Samantha Luba grabbed back-to-back E8 Field Athlete of the Week distinctions after setting the Nazareth heptathlon record in two consecutive meets. She earned a program-best 4,694 points in the multi event at regional championships, good for second place and 17th nationally.
