ROCHESTER, NY – On Sunday the NCAA announced the 2025 field for the Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted at Nazareth University March 14 and 15. Nazareth's own
Lea Richard qualified in the weight throw, while junior
Isabel Morse qualified in the pole vault.
Richard will be competing at the NCAA indoor championships in the weight throw for the third consecutive season. The graduate student is ranked 14
th with a heave of 17.81 meters (58' 5 ¼") set at the DIII Elite Meet on February 14. In the 2023-24 indoor championships, Richard took 13
th with a mark of 17.01 meters (55 feet, 9 ¾ inches) and earned Second Team All-American status. The year prior, she was 17
th at the national meet with a mark of 16.33 meters (53' 7").
Morse is making her NCAA championship debut in 2025, ranking 12
th in the pole vault at 3.86 meters (12' 8"). She set the mark at the Nazareth conference Tune-up on February 21.
Each of the athletes will compete on Friday. Morse and the women's pole vault event will take place at 11 a.m., while the weight throw will take place at 3:30 p.m.
