Alfred, NY - The Nazareth men's swimming and diving team was unable to total enough points against the Alfred Saxons on Friday afternoon. Ryan Hough had a strong outing for Nazareth.

The Golden Flyers dropped the meet 200-79.

Hough took first in both the 50 and 200-yd freestyle events with final times of 1:53.27 and 21.63. 

Will Danaher also placed in the 50-yd freestyle taking third for Nazareth with a time of 23.72. He takes a second place spot in the 100-yd freestyle as well with 52.13.

In the 1000-yd freestyle, Gianluca Antonini, with a time of 11:31.90 took second place in the event. 

Freshman Will D'Agata took second and added to the point total with a score of 220.90 for the 1-meter diving event.

Adam DelGrand took second in the 200-yd butterfly with a time of 2:11.69. He also placed third in the 200-yd IM event with 2:20:30 as a time.

In the 500-yd freestyle Hough takes second place with 5:17.24 and right behind him is Antonini, receiving third with 5:33.71.

Second and third place finishes for DelGrand and Danaher in the 100-yd butterfly added to the Golden Flyers point total. Delgrand with 55.95 and Danaher with 58.19.

Nazareth's 200-yd freestyle relay team took second. DelGrand, Sam Romanosky, Danaher, and Hough raced a 1:32.68. 

The Golden Flyers return to action in Erie, PA on Saturday, January 26.
