ROCHESTER, NY - Kenna Ellis and Catherine Zak delivered the lone point for the Nazareth women's tennis team on Tuesday in the Golden Flyers Empire 8 opening contest against Geneseo. Ellis and Zak won first doubles by an 8-6 score. 

Nazareth is now 1-2 overall and 0-1 in league play, while Geneseo is 1-1 both overall and in league play.

In conference play, scoring goes back the the traditional 9-point scoring. Geneseo joined the Empire 8 in 2024. 

Ali Klee and Sarah Stone had a close loss at second singles, 8-6.

Victoria Cioni and Klee each took their first singles matches to three sets. Cioni fell at fourth singles 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6). Klee dropped fifth singles 1-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-7).

Nazareth travels to Utica on Friday for a 4 p.m. contest.
