HILTON, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Women's Tennis student-athletes
Catherine Zak and
Kenna Ellis garnered All-Conference honors, the Empire 8 announced Tuesday morning. Zak received their second-career First Team selection in singles while the senior also earned doubles Second Team accolades with partner Ellis.
Zak posted an 8-4 record in the top singles position this season, registering a 4-2 mark in Empire 8 action. The senior recorded a six-match win streak in singles to conclude their senior fall slate, including eight straight-set victories and five double-bagel wins.
Ellis and Zak earned a Second Team distinction after two First Team nods in 2023 and 2024. The pair tallied nine victories together at first doubles this fall, including five wins in conference play. Ellis and Zak blanked their doubles opponents 6-0 on five different occasions.
Zak was also selected as Nazareth's Representative on the 2025 Women's Tennis Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they compete with honor and integrity and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
Nazareth Women's Tennis returns to action this upcoming spring.
