Isabella Heath nearly hit a PR in the triple jump on Thursday, placing sixth for the highest finish for the Golden Flyers at the AARTFC Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted at SUNY Cortland. Nazareth finished in 28
th place with 11 points. SUNY Geneseo won with 81 points.
Heath was one of three performers for Nazareth in the triple jump, finishing with a leap of 11.33 meters (37' 2 ¼") for sixth place. Sophomore
Sydney LaSalle was 19
th at 10.73 meters (35' 2 ½"), while
Hannah Ragule was 22
nd at 10.56 meters (34' 7 ¾").
Senior
Lauren Bendall moved from 12
th place on Wednesday to finish in 10
th place in the heptathlon with 3,753 points. Her best finish of the day came in the javelin throw as her heave of 29.98 meters (98' 4") on her last attempt earned her third place. That throw was nearly seven feet further than her previous best mark (91' 10").
