Final Results
ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Mallory Rice, sophomore Isabel Morse and senior Paige Ackley each won events for the Nazareth University Women's Track and Field team at the RIT Invitational Friday night.
Rice was victorious in the 60-metere hurdles with a time of 10.25 with sophomore Samantha Luba (10.46) taking third and freshman Kaitlyn Burt (10.66) finishing fourth for Nazareth.
Morse led a 1-2-3 finish and five finishers in the top-9 in the pole vault as she cleared 3.30 meters (10' 10"). Her sister Rosie Morse was second with the same height but more overall misses and sophomore Kiara Tornusciolo taking third with a final height of 3.15 meters (10' 4"). Freshman Caitlyn Smithers was sixth at 2.80 meters (9' 2 ¼") and senior Sofie Fischler was ninth with a height of 2.80 meters as well.
Ackley was the first of three top finishers for Nazareth in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:27.07 for her first-place finish. Freshman Bailey Visingard was sixth at 2:34.46 and fellow freshman Emma Wendt was ninth with a time of 2:39.96.
Visingard also placed second in the mile with a time of 5:36.31 and greaduate student Sarah Merriwether was second in the high jump as she cleared 1.52 meters (4' 11 3/4").
Smithers added a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash in 8.26 seconds while sophomore Sydney LaSalle was fifth in 8.36 seconds.
The 4x400 relay with freshman Kelsey Fahy, Ackley, freshman Kennedy Doran and Wendt placed third with a time of 4:38.50.
