Inclusive Childhood Education major … daughter of Kai and Susan Wendt, Schenectady, N.Y... competing in her first season of track and field for the Golden Flyers, Wendt ran cross country for the Golden Flyers in the fall of 2023... finished 49th at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Parkview Fairways in Victor... had a personal-best time of 26:08.7 for 6 kilometers.
Scholastic: a graduate of Guilderland High School where she was a member of the cross country, track and field and swimming and diving teams... voted most improved for cross country and listed on the top-30 list at Guilderland for cross country … earned the coach’s award and advanced to the New Balance Nationals for the 4x800 relay … scholar athlete and Board of Education award all four years of high school … earned the University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb honorary science award, the Guilderland Teachers Association award and the NYS Board of Regents scholarship.
