Final Results
STATEN ISLAND, NY – Senior Lea Richard proved she was one of the top Weight Throwers in the country with a second-place finish Friday against a field of predominantly NCAA Division I and II athletes at the Fast Track Invitational Meet at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Center.
Richard uncorked a throw of 16.91 meters (55' 6") on her final throw in the first round to earn the second-place finish as she placed among athletes from Long Island University, Columbia, East Stroudsburg and Delaware State.
Graduate student Emily Weaver broke the school record in the mile as she clocked a 5:15.25 to better the record of 5:15.58 set by Emily Thompson in 2018.
Senior Lilianna Hanning had a sixth-place finish in the 5K race with a time of 18:58.92 and fellow senior Hannah Ragule was eighth in the triple jump with a final distance of 10.91 meters (35' 9 1'2") for Nazareth.
The Distance Medley relay with sophomore Ella Impaglia, freshman Ava Baker, freshman Kennedy Rose and Weaver had a sixth-place finish with a time of 12:59.96.
The 4x400 relay was just as impressive with a seventh-place finish in 4:13.68 as senior Lauren Bendall, sophomore Shaina Susa, sophomore Alexis Lasher and senior Isabella Heath ran for the Golden Flyers. Heath was 39th in the 400 and Baker was 48th in the 800.
