ITHACA, NY – Graduate student
Kaleb Luton earned a spot in the 60-meter hurdles finals, running 8.18 and was the top individual finisher for Nazareth at Day one of the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
Jack Pomykaj is currently in fifth place for the heptathlon with 2,346 points and the meet will conclude on Sunday.

Connor McCauslin just missed out on a spot in the finals for the 60-meter hurdles, taking ninth place in 8.71.
Pomykaj' best finish for his four heptathlon events was third place in the 60-meter hurdles (7.31). He was fourth in the long jump at 6.14 meters (20 feet, 1 ¾ inches). He was then seventh in the both the shot put and high jump.
Cade Eells had a blistering mile, clocking a 4:24.96, good for fifth place, while
Ethan Kenyon ran a personal best in 4:31.59 for 13
th.
Nathan Bowers was right behind in 4:32.09. Eells was also 8
th in 800 in 2:00.79.
Jason Bletsko was sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.15 meters (13 feet, 7 ¼ inches).
Freshman
David Dobrowolski shattered his personal best in the weight throw by .23 meters, throwing 13.55 meters (44 feet, 5 ½ inches) for 12
th place.
Gabe Wilson and
Kyle Reid each jumped 1.67 meters (5 feet, 5 ¾ inches) in the high jump to take ninth and 10
th place, respectively. Sophomore
Jason Marchincin was 11
th in 1.62 meters (5 feet, 3 ¾ inches).
Freshman
Cole Hastings ripped off a 52.55 in the 400 for 16
th place.
The quartet of
Jack Healy,
Cole Hastings,
Noah Engel, and
Gavin McAllister were the fourth place finishers in the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:34.34) with a total of 15 team competing.
Benjamin Lewis and
Mike Welch were 16
th and 17
th, respectively in the 200 with times of 23.54 and 23.60.
Nazareth will split its team next Friday with some members going to the Fast Track Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Complex and the rest at RIT.
