ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore
Benjamin Lewis delivered a third-place finish in the 100 and was fifth in the 200 to highlight Nazareth's track and field performances at the RIT Invitational on Saturday.
Lewis clocked an 11.44 in the 100 for third place and later a 22.82 in the 200 which earned him fifth place.
Freshman
Holden Thomas had a stellar day in a pair of events as well, placing fifth in the 110 hurdles in a time of 16.27 and was also seventh in the 400 hurdles (1:01.78).
Arthur DeVasto had a sixth-place finish in the high jump at 1.76 meters (5 feet, 9 ¼ inches), followed by
Kyle Reid at 1.71 meters (5 feet, 7 ¼ inches) for ninth.
Adam Reifsteck had a top 10 finish in the long jump, with a mark of 6.05 meters (19 feet, 10 ¼ inches), good for 10
th.
John Pomykaj was 12
th at 5.89 meters (19 feet, 4 inches) and
Ryan DeShane 14
th at 5.75 meters (18 feet, 10 ½ inches).
Nathan Bowers ran a blistering 4:04.03 in the mile which was good for eighth place. Sophomore
Cade Eells was 23
rd in 4:13.45 and
Ethan Glashauser was 25
th (4:15.33).
Freshman
Jaylen Savage was Nazareth's top finisher in the 400, ripping off a time of 50.41 which was good for seventh place.
Patrick Healy continued his strong performances in the 800, running 1:58.52 for seventh place.
Nazareth returns to action on Friday at the Brockport Invitational at 4 p.m.
